To whom it may concern:

I have had the pleasure to work with Katherine Watier for two years, in CP Algebra H (grade 11), and Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry (grade 12).

Katherine has made a huge impact on Medomak Valley High School. She has actively promoted social issues, such as recycling and environmental protection, and she has seen the implementation of a recycling program in our cafeteria and classrooms. She has cofounded STEP, an environmental protection group, and as a result was featured on television by-the University of Maine.

Katherine's energy, commitment and organizational skills are also evident in the classroom, particularly in problem-solving and cooperative learning situations. These have been her strong points in Algebra 11 and Trigonometry.

Conversations with Katherine are usually learning experiences for me. She shows much enthusiasm when discussing environmental issues, and provided some interesting information.

The staff at Medomak Valley feels that when a woman is finally elected president, it wiIll be Katherine Watier. She has already developed some interesting political contacts. Katherine would be an asset to any post-secondary institution, and I give her my strongest endorsement.
