I took this class because
it is the subject of my Division 11 and therefore I gained a lot from
the class itself as a way to be introduced to a variety of new concepts.
I really liked this class, and although I did not participate as often
as I usually do, I did participate more than I usually do in classes
of this size (40-50 students). While it was a level 100 class, I often
did not find it as challenging as I would have liked-which instead of
creating apathy on my part, it created a drive to do further research
and reading outside of class assignments. At the very least, I did all
of the reading on time (and except for the first writing assignment)
spent a great deal of time researching and composing my written work.
What I still need to desperately work on (as was made clear to me this
semester through this and my other classes) is the proofreading stage
in my writing process. I handed in a lot of assignments that I realized
(once I got them back) had embarrassing errors that would have been
unnecessary if I had only spent more time proofreading. I found reading
and critically analyzing social psychology experiments for this class
to be very challenging ... it never fails that I miss some major aspect
in my analysis ... obviously yet another skill to work on. All in all
I found this class very enjoyable and I gained a broad basis of knowledge
for which I can now choose from in deciding the direction of my Div
II.
