I really enjoyed this class, and I am
glad that I decided to take it. The
inter-group dynamics were phenomenal, and I thoroughly enjoyed the readings
that I had time to read. Even though
working within the groups was a trying experience, I wouldn't of arranged
the class in any other way because the issues I had to deal with within my
group were personally challenging and a test of my social interaction skills. While I wish we received professional training,
I now feel comfortable finding that service elsewhere, and dealing with the
conflict within my group gave me experience in how to negotiate with different
personality styles. While I had a
hard time writing the first paper, the comments that I received back on that
paper and the other papers were very helpful and painfully critical. Greg has a way of telling you exactly what
you knew you needed to improve on but was hoping no one would call you on
it. Specifically, he made me aware
of my tendency to not delve deep enough
into a subject I'm not necesarily that interested in. He helped me to challenge my previous assumptions and helped me
to notice other ways of approaching a conflict or problem. Even though this class meet for three hours
at a time, I felt that he did a great job of keeping the conversation interesting,
and I can't help but wish the class meet more often so that we could of had
more time to discuss some of the issues.
